Multiparametric Magnetic Resonance Imaging (mpMRI) of the Prostate has become a highly valuable method for the accurate diagnosis of different forms of prostate cancer and the effective management of patients. This technique precisely detects the tumor and plays a crucial role in treatment planning. In many cases, it can help avoid the need for a biopsy. However, when a biopsy is necessary, the prior MRI helps target a specific area rather than taking random samples from the entire gland, making the process safer and more effective.

This is a painless procedure performed using state-of-the-art MRI scanners. The patient lies in a supine position, and the scan lasts approximately 25–30 minutes, focusing exclusively on the prostate gland. The method combines advanced functional MRI techniques with high-resolution anatomical imaging, providing both structural and functional information about the gland.
